Amazons in Saris
Amazons in Saris focuses on the brutality and corruption in modern day India and the horrific atrocities inflicted upon the many millions of lower caste or Dalits every day.
Part funded by Amnesty International, it took four years to research and shoot 'Amazons' and there can be no pretences... It was not beautifully lit, shot on super 16 / 35mm or choreographed. It was filmed single handedly by Rani as and when was possible, often secretly, and or in genuinely life threatening situations. We hope that this film can make a difference, or at least make people stop and think.
